This policy covers formspedia.com. Formspedia is responsible for the personal data processed on the site. You can reach us at [email protected].
The short version: you can read the whole site without an account, we do not run analytics or advertising trackers, and forms you fill in here stay in your browser.
What is collected
Server logs
Like any website, our web server records basic details of each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser’s user-agent string. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure (for example, to spot abuse) and are not used to build profiles of visitors. Our hosting provider stores them on our behalf.
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which sits between your browser and our server to speed up pages and filter attacks. Cloudflare therefore processes the same request details, under its own privacy policy.
Forms you fill in on the site
When you fill in a form on a guide page, the work happens in your browser. What you type, tick or sign is not sent to our server. So that you do not lose your work, the browser keeps a copy in its local storage on your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
To show the form, our server fetches the agency’s PDF and passes it to your browser. The agency’s server sees a request from our server, not from you.
Reporting a problem with a form
If you use the “Report a problem with this form” button, we store the reason you choose, the optional note you write, the page and the time. We do not store your IP address with the report. To limit automated abuse, a one-way scrambled value derived from the IP address is kept for up to 24 hours and then discarded. Your browser also remembers that you already reported that form, so the button is not shown twice.
Please do not put personal or tax details in the note.
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever your message contains. We use it only to deal with your message and keep it only as long as that takes, unless the correspondence needs to be kept for legal reasons.
Videos
Some guides include a YouTube video. Until you press play, the page shows a still image loaded from YouTube’s image server (i.ytimg.com), which receives your IP address like any image request. When you press play, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com, and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to what happens in the player.
Cookies
The site itself does not set cookies for visitors. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie when it checks whether a request comes from a bot. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to manage the site. If we add analytics or advertising in future, this page will be updated first, and where the law requires consent, we will ask for it before anything is set.
Legal basis (EU and UK visitors)
Server logs and abuse protection rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Problem reports and emails are processed because you choose to send them, and we use them to answer you and correct the site.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with the providers that run the site for us (hosting, Cloudflare and email) and with authorities where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it is used. Write to [email protected]. If you are in the EU or UK and are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
